Rowdy Rathore

I RATE: 2.5/5

Salman Khan set the trend with the movies like "Dabang" and since then others are following him. Rowdy Rathore is another SOUTH movie remake featuring Akshy Kumar (Sonakshi Sinha is there only for the songs). I like Akki since the days of "Hera Pheri" - that was a cult movie. That movie brought out the comedian in Akshay. It is a crisis period for him, Akshay was badly struggling for a hit so he went for a trusted formula that Salman developed. There is nothing special in that movie but it is entertaining. Good news for Akki fans, this is a kind of comeback movie for Akshay. I didn't like that movie, I didn't hate that movie either. If you like action with comedy - go for it.

ভুতের ভবিস্যত (Bhuter Bhabishyat)

I Rate: 3.5

After a long time  I can see people talking about a Bengali movie and the movie is in discussion for all good reasons. The style of presenting the story is really good, though can't say it is unique, remember "Manihara - Tin Kanya" by Satyajit Ray???  There are witty dialogues, nice camera work, a few very good comic sequences. Overall it is a very nice movie. Though there are flaws in the movie. Like, while Biplab(Sabyasachi) was discussing with Parambrata , it seemed, for the first time he came to know about "Bangla Band", but later, the story revels, one of his close "BHOOT" companion is from a Bangla Band.
The main thing I didn't like about the movie is the director failed to create fear when it was required. Remember the last part while all the BHOOTs were united against the promoter BHUTORIA ( played by Mir) ? Overall, Bhooter Bhabishyat is a very nice and watchable movie though it deserves a better finish.
